- The Summer Wine Festival at the Samoset Resort begins on June 6th
and continues to June 15th, 2008.
The festival, in its second
year, offers wine enthusiasts and gourmands the ultimate experience
in entertainment and education alongside the beauty of a seaside
resort on the shores of Penobscot Bay. In the coastal community of
picturesque Rockland, this historic city is enjoying a renaissance
with its museums, art galleries, historic theatre, schools of
contemporary art and furniture design, the largest fleet of
windjammer schooners in the country, fine dining restaurants,
specialty food stores, and 145 buildings on the National Historic
Register. Just 2 hours north of Portland, the location, which
couldn’t be more perfect, offering a “real Maine”
experience.
